Stencil Wall Collection!

We have completed this stencil project featuring a very early stencil design. The design originates from the Captain John Coolidge House in Plymouth, Vermont stenciled by Erastus Gates. This particular design is very similar to Moses Eaton’s style as Mr. Gates highly regarded Moses’ style.

We hand cut our own stencils and use period colors or colors of your choice. Please give us a call should you desire to replicate this early american style at 757-775-5384.

Making a house a home! Adding color to your floor can make such an impact in the color and design of your room. Featured are some of our new designs. Left to right the designs featured are the wreath pattern, greek key, grapevine, black diamonds, red diamonds with black border and faux tile with black lines and squares. Palmer House, Williamsburg, VA Project!

We are execited about our upcoming project. We will be designing a foorcloth for the tavern room of the Palmer House in Williamsburg, VA! The Palmer House is located on the Duke of Gloucester Street and was built circa 1755. Please check back for photos after the project has been completed!

Stenciled Walls!

The decoration of choice for walls in Colonial America was painted walls with intricate stenciled designs. Stenciled walls were less expensive and were considered very stylish rather than impersonal mass-produced wallpaper. Some stencil artists would use the wallpaper motifs and were inspired to re-create some of the wallpaper designs onto walls.

Over the years we have done many projects that have not only inspired us but touched our hearts. This particular project was done for a lovely couple in New Jersey. They completely renovated this home with great love and passion. It was such a joy and honor to work with this couple as they appreciated the true form of all artists’ talents along with their own incredible abilities to restore and decorate this lovely home. This greek key black and white pattern floorcloth was designed for their front entryway of this magnificent home.
